Step 3: Register & Enter your Project: DUE DEC 4

Dear parents,

We will be using a new format for registration in the science fair this year. We will be using the SLVSEF registration form to get parent, teacher and any other approvals needed before any work begins.  Projects need to be submitted for teacher approval by December 4th in order to leave sufficient time to conduct experiments. Students in grades lower than 5 should indicate their grade beside their name as there is no checkbox lower than 5 for grade.  SLVSEF approval will be sought for qualifying projects after the Salt Lake City School District Science Fair, so that signature will be left blank for now.

See this link for form: https://slvsef.org

Step 4: Science Night: FEBRUARY 2 (6-730pm)

Science Fair Night Flyer

A chance for all science fair participants to share their project with the community!  After the projects are set up, at 6pm the community is invited to come to the school and participate in an exciting Science night - we will begin with a demonstration from the University of Utah Physics and Astronomical group, led by Paul Ricketts.  Following this, each Science Fair student participant will have time to practice explaining and answering questions about their specific project.  Judges come the next morning, so this is encouraged to help them fine tune their presentation and maybe have the chance to get a few other questions asked before they are judged!  There will also be a few tables of science demonstrations around, and some of the other lower grade classrooms will show off their science fair projects or demonstrations!  It will end with another great Community Science presentation.

Step 5: Science Fair: FEBRUARY 3

**If your student is participating in the Science Fair this Feb 3, 2016, It has been asked that they come to school and SET UP the NIGHT BEFORE @5:30pm.**
