About Me

Early in my life, I danced on ballet scholarships with the University of Utah and the San Francisco Ballet School. My 25 years of teaching ballet included teaching classes alongside Mr. Willam Christensen, founder of Ballet West, personal mentor and friend. I loved my university learning opportunities and graduated cum laude from the University of Utah. One of my final courses was a summer in the Utah desert as a member of an archaeological field school. Unfortunately, I was not able to accept a scholarship to George Washington University and an accompanying internship at the Smithsonian. However, I have always been honored receiving the award. Among my international travel experiences are Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Singapore, Thailand, Korea, and Canada. One of my favorite activities is visiting museums and historical sites, and I do so whenever I travel. I also love listening to music and reading science fiction (often at the same time). I was once asked how I make learning fun. I was slightly confused because, “Learning is fun!”
